This Refund Policy explains when Crawlbench ("Crawlbench", "we", "us", or "our") issues refunds for paid subscriptions to the Crawlbench web application (the "Service").
It supplements, and forms part of, our Terms of Service.
1. Free trial
Crawlbench offers a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription will start automatically at the rate shown when you signed up.
2. 14-day money-back guarantee
If you are charged for your first month of a paid Crawlbench subscription and decide the Service is not right for you, we will refund that first charge in full when you request a refund within 14 days of the charge date. To request this refund, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account.
3. Subsequent billing cycles
After the first month, monthly subscription charges are generally non-refundable. When you cancel an active subscription, cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access through the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partially-used months unless required by law.
4. Statutory rights (EU, EEA, UK, and other regions)
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar consumer protection law, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within a set period (typically 14 days for the EU/EEA/UK). These statutory rights apply regardless of this policy and are honored where they apply. To exercise your right of withdrawal, email [email protected].
5. Exceptions
We will not issue a refund in the following cases:
- The refund request is made more than 14 days after the first charge and there is no applicable statutory right.
- The account was terminated by us for violating our Terms of Service (for example, abuse, fraud, or chargeback gaming).
- There is evidence of refund abuse, repeated sign-up-and-refund patterns, or other manipulative behavior.
- Charges processed by Paddle that are already past Paddle's chargeback or dispute window for reasons unrelated to the Service.
6. How refunds are processed
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. ("Paddle"), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Refunds, when approved, are issued by Paddle back to the original payment method. Refunds typically arrive within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Currency conversion fees charged by your bank are outside our control and may not be reimbursable.
7. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Crawlbench account. Include:
- The email address on the account.
- The Paddle order or transaction ID (from your receipt email), if available.
- A short explanation of why you are requesting a refund.
We will respond within 5 business days. If the refund is approved, you will see the credit on your statement within 5-10 business days of Paddle processing it.
8. Cancellations vs. refunds
Cancelling your subscription is separate from requesting a refund. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing support. A cancellation stops future renewals but does not by itself trigger a refund of the current billing period unless you also qualify under section 2 or 4.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. If we make a material change, we will notify you (for example, by email or in-app notice) before it takes effect.
